1. Who we are

Our website address is https://corvinusresearch.com. Corvinus Research (referred to in this policy as “we,” “us,” or “our”) supplies research compounds to qualified researchers and laboratories, and is the sole owner of the information collected through this site.

Questions about anything in this policy can be sent to support@corvinusresearch.com.

2. Information we collect and use

We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide through account registration, checkout, the contact form, newsletter sign-up, or direct email, together with the technical data your browser sends automatically, such as IP address and browser user agent string.

This information is used to respond to your enquiries and to fulfil your requests, including processing, validating, and shipping your orders. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as strictly necessary to complete your transaction, for example passing address details to a delivery carrier or a secure payment gateway.

3. Order and payment information

When placing an order you will be asked to provide:

  • Full name, and organization or laboratory affiliation where applicable
  • Billing address and physical shipping address
  • Contact email and telephone number
  • Payment details, handled by our payment provider

This information is used strictly for billing, identity verification, fraud prevention, and order fulfilment. Card details are processed by our payment gateway and are not stored on our servers. If there is a problem with your order, or a batch or documentation query is raised, we will use these contact details to reach you directly.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep the site working rather than to build a profile of you.

  • Cart and checkout. Cookies keep the items in your cart and carry your session through checkout.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies, so you do not have to re-enter them next time. These last one year.
  • Login. Visiting the login page sets a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies; it holds no personal data and is discarded when you close the browser. On login, further cookies save your login state and display preferences. Login cookies last two days and screen option cookies one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends the login to two weeks. Logging out removes them.
  • Editing. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie records the post ID of the article you edited. It contains no personal data and expires after one day.

5. Comments, media, and embedded content

Comments. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address, called a hash, may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside it.

Media. If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images from the site and extract any location data they contain.

Embedded content. Articles and product pages may include embedded content such as videos, images, or documents from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website. Those sites may collect data about you, set cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including while you are logged in to them.

6. Who we share your data with

To run the storefront, fulfil orders, and meet our record-keeping obligations, we work with a small number of service providers: payment processors, shipping carriers, and email delivery services. They receive only the data needed to perform the service, and are contractually prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

7. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically instead of being held in a moderation queue.

For users who register on the site, we store the personal information given in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except that they cannot change their username. Site administrators can also see and edit that information.

Order records, invoices, and related correspondence are retained for as long as tax, accounting, and regulatory law requires, even where a deletion request has been made.

8. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including anything you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase the personal data we hold about you. This does not cover data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

You may also contact us at any time to:

  • Review the data we hold about your account or business entity
  • Correct anything inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete
  • Raise a concern about how your personal data has been handled

9. Communications and marketing

Unless you opt out, we may email you about:

  • New research compounds and restocked products
  • Certificates of Analysis, batch records, and technical documentation
  • Promotions and store announcements
  • Material updates to this Privacy Policy

You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, or by emailing support@corvinusresearch.com. Note: opting out of marketing email does not stop essential order-related or legal communications.

10. Security measures

  • Online protection. Sensitive information such as card numbers and account passwords is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols. You can confirm the secure link by the padlock icon in your browser address bar and a URL beginning with “https”.
  • Offline protection. Access to personally identifiable information is restricted to staff who need it for a specific operational task, such as billing, dispatch, or customer support.
  • Infrastructure security. The servers and storage systems holding personally identifiable information are kept in a secure, monitored environment behind modern firewalls.

While we make every effort to secure your information, no online system is completely secure. By using our services you accept the inherent risks of internet-based transactions.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in privacy law, tracking regulations, or the platforms we use. Any change is posted directly to this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after an update is published constitutes acceptance of it.

12. Contact us

Effective date: August 2026. Last updated by the Corvinus Research compliance team.
